MINNEAPOLIS, MN – August 4, 2009 – In a recent study by Law & Politics Magazine, Jeffrey P. Molever, co-founder of The Molever Law Firm, was named in the top 5 percent of Minnesota attorneys in the area of Estate Planning & Probate. The findings are published in the August 2009 issues of Minnesota Law & Politics, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine and Twin Cities Business. This is the fourth consecutive year that Mr. Molever has earned this prestigious designation.

This year Law & Politics magazine mailed more than 16,000 ballots to attorneys across Minnesota who had been licensed for five years or more. The ballot asks lawyers to nominate the best attorneys they have personally observed in practice. The nominees are grouped into more than 60 practice areas. In addition, a Law & Politics attorney-led research team actively searches for outstanding attorneys to complement the statewide survey of lawyers. The research team evaluates prospective candidates on more than a dozen indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition. Candidates are divided according to firm size and geographic location. Top candidates from each group are selected as Super Lawyers.

Mr. Molever is extremely proud of having earned such high esteem from his colleagues and being named a Super Lawyer.   Mr. Molever, a former CPA, has a Master’s Degree (LL.M.) in Taxation. He honed his accounting skills at an international accounting firm and practiced estate planning at top-notch law firms before opening The Molever Law Firm in 1996. Mr. Molever is admitted to practice in the United States Tax Court and is licensed to practice law in both Minnesota and California. Mr. Molever earned his J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1982 and his LL.M. in Taxation with Honors from the Washington School of Law (Washington Institute for Graduate Studies) in 1989. 

 

In 2008, the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys (AAEPA), a national organization that fosters excellence in estate planning, announced that Mr. Molever had been awarded the Academy Fellow designation.  The Fellow program recognizes Academy Members who demonstrate advanced expertise and significant practical experience in the estate planning, trust, tax planning, guardianship, probate and estate administration fields.

 

Mr. Molever is a member of the American Association of Attorney-CPAs, and The Molever Law Firm is the only Minnesota law firm currently accepted into Academy membership.
